Shampoo & conditioning
- Brush or comb Modi Hair extensions whilst dry before shampooing
- Wash your hair at least twice a week using a shampoo that is heavily moisturising and creamy in consistency leaving the hair feeling conditioned rather than squeaky clean. If unsure, ask your hairdresser
- We strongly recommend that before you start shampooing is to apply conditioner to mid lengths to the ends
- Prior to washing. Once the conditioner is in the hair you can proceed to wash the hair with the conditioner in the mid lengths to ends. This helps to prevents shampoos stripping or over washing your extensions. Shampoo your hair twice using a massaging technique rather than an aggressive scrubbing technique. Start by massaging the shampoo into your roots then proceed to squeeze the lather through to the ends. Shampooing twice is important because the first shampoo will help to nudge and break down any oil and dirt. The second shampoo will lather and help bring those oils and dirt to the surface to be rinsed off
- Proceed to rinse the shampoo thoroughly from your hair.
- After rinsing your hair, thoroughly towel dry to remove excess water
- It is recommended to use a heavily moisturising conditioner that is creamy in consistency rather than a light one that can leave your hair feeling un-moisturised. If unsure, ask your hairdresser.

- Using a wide tooth comb, start to comb through the conditioner beginning at the ends and working your way up to the scalp.
- Whilst rinsing out the conditioner, we recommend that a slight residue of the conditioner is left in your hair for further moisturising
